Prices and Payments
Prices and payments are to be in Sterling (£ GB).
Payment will normally be made using Paypal.
Requirements for deposits or down-payments will be specified with the Order Verification.
.
Delivery
Items are normally custom-made and work begins on an order after an eMailed Order Verification and the Deposit confirmation by PayPal.
.
Estimated completion times are posted on the website. If the delivery time seems likely to be significantly delayed then the buyer will be advised by eMail or, exceptionally, by telephone; in extremis by post.
.
Items will usually be sent using the UK Royal Mail postal service, insured and requiring a signature on arrival. The buyer will be advised when the item has been posted. I cannot guarantee postal delivery times. UK-addressed items sent by Royal Mail can normally be expected within a day or two in most areas.
.
You, as the buyer, are responsible for checking that the item is undamaged before signing for it - the carrier has certain responsibilities that end once they have a signature and I cannot accept responsibility for their actions. That means that you as the buyer would have to deal with any dispute.
.
Returns
I cannot accept returns of items that have been damaged or used, unless they are faulty. NOTICE THAT by damaged or used I include, for instance, marks remaining caused by a strap having been fitted carelessly to an instrument or other handling marks that might be regarded by another buyer as making the item appear to have been used.
.
PLEASE look at the photographs and read the descriptions carefully. I include as much detail as I reasonably can so that later disappointment should be avoided. Most items are custom-made, so none will usually be identical to published images unless that photographed item happens still to be in stock.
.
Nonetheless if you, as the buyer, are not happy with the item you should eMail me as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made for the unused, undamaged item to be returned to me and any moneys other than custom-order deposits  that you have paid for the item to be returned to you.
.
I reserve the right to decline an order.

.
As you will probably have read elsewhere on the website, I work on my own.
.
This means that completion time of each piece of work and arranging packaging and postage can vary.
.
Obviously, my intention is that getting the item to you should be as pleasant an experience as possible for both of us.
.
It is also my intention that you as the buyer get what you might reasonably expect from a craft worker and, equally, that I don't have to spend unreasonable time, effort and money in the logistics of getting what you want to you, (apart from the actual process  of making the leatherwork, of course...).
.
The 'Returns' section is a bit long-winded. Just keep in mind that the each piece of work is a one-off and even if you are not happy with it, someone else might be, provided that it has been treated nicely.
.
To be frank about all of this, anyone who is considering spending their money on a piece of hand-made leatherwork will probably find all of this stuff patronising, but I have to allow for the possibilty that some might not 'get it'.
.
Can't avoid this stuff. It's necessarily a bit impersonal - I've kept it to a reasonable minimum.
